How to Fix Audio and Touchpad on HP Chromebook 11 G4 (Windows Drivers Guide)
By: Ikram Ustad | Blog: HCT Easy-Drivers 21
Installing Windows on a 16GB HP Mini Chromebook often solves
storage issues, but it introduces a new challenge: missing drivers. You
might find your touchpad is unresponsive, the volume icon has a red cross, and
the Device Manager is filled with "Unknown Devices" and yellow
warning signs.
Official manufacturer websites like HP or Dell typically
only provide tools for ChromeOS, making Windows drivers for these specific
devices very hard to find. To help you out, I have prepared a complete driver
pack and a step-by-step guide to turn your budget Chromebook into a fully
functional Windows PC.

your System Drive (C:), click Configure, and ensure "Turn
on system protection" is enabled.

point it to the folder manually.
- Right-click
the Start button and open Device Manager.
- Find
any "Unknown Device" (usually under "Other
devices"), right-click it, and select Update Driver.

"Browse my computer for drivers".

the folder where you unzipped the drivers. Ensure "Include
subfolders" is checked and click Next.
- If a
warning appears stating Windows "can't verify the publisher,"
click "Install this driver software anyway".
Step 4: Restart Your Device
After updating the unknown devices, Restart your
Chromebook. This is necessary for the audio services and the EC bus to
initialize properly.
